I got a good rest in this morning, and then we took a trip to the mountains!

The city is like walking in a park. We had a student come up to us and ask us all kinds of questions about where we came from, and wanted everyone to know Russia is a nice place to come visit! No bears in the streets and people aren’t cold. We are really enjoying our stay.

Flew to another city to have a good tour!

Went out for breakfast, but everything was closed. Except for a grocery store, so we bought eggs and stuff to bring back. Lunch w/ a local friend and stayed close to home today. Jet lag isn’t too bad, which is very good!

Flew from Seattle to Moscow—took a couple days and headed to the Red Square. We arrived in Moscow around 11:00 am, took a taxi to the guest house, then for dinner, home for a quick nap, out for supper then to the Red Square. Funny thing is, there were riots there with around 200,000 people there just 2 days ago. Big parade (tanks, etc.?) the next day, but probably won’t make it.

Instead of doing my taxes, I hung out w/ Barney and Joe and Rob and Kellen instead. Good thing, because my taxes only took a couple hours.

Left Norita at around 4:00 pm. and switched planes in San Francisco. Arrived in Spokane at around 2:30 pm the same day. Actually made it to the house before I left Japan.

In Norita, Japan for about 30 hours. Trouble was we didn’t have anything arranged before we landed, so it took some time to figure out what to do. Eventually figured out to book a local hotel (can’t check in until 3:00 officially) and did short trips from there. I rested today and caught up on some digital stuff.

Left Chiang Mai this morning. Flew to Bangkok, then to Kuala Lumpur. Left there this evening heading to Norita, Japan, where we arrived tomorrow at around 7:00 am.

We had breakfast, drove to see Joseph for meetings this morning. When we got there, we had breakfast again. And at noon, lunch, before heading home. Dave spoke at an international congregation in the afternoon, then to visit Charlie and his group in the evening. Great day!

Learned that rice fields are flooded to control weeds. They start the rice somewhere else, flood the fields, then plant the rice (sticking out of the water, of course.) That way, no weeds can grow (unless it’s within the cluster of rice starts.) Very interesting—

Rob and I hung around the house, did laundry and caught up on some things today. Dave and Marilyn went to get their visa renewed. Had a wonderful chicken supper!
