Dreamweaver and TextWrangler on the Mac

Monday, July 18, 2011

I was trying to install TextWranger as my differential tool withinside Dreamweaver, but had a hard time figureing it out. In TexWrangler, go to FILE > Install Command Line Tools.

In Dreamweaver, goto Preferences > File Compare, then browse for the twdiff command line, which is located in /usr/local/bin/twdiff.

Then, within Dreamweaver, select 2 files in the FILES panel, then "Compare Local Files." It’s a wonderful thing!

Back to the main page.

Good you could solve it. I couldn’t as by now.
I installed Textwrangler and the Command line Tools, but I can’t find the twdiff.
The help concerning this from Adobe states that the hidden usr/bin folder is browsable which seems to be the case but I still can’t find twdiff. Any additional hints?

My path is: HD:usr:local:bin:twdiff - you might need to turn on hidden files in Finder—but in looking I don’t see it anymore. I haven’t used this for some time now, and have since forgot :(
