Spent the night at the Legers- and found out that there was an
airport ride needed at 3:00 am. Trying to get the last minute things
settled, I decided to drive Paul and Carol in, then head out to
Seattle to visit some friends out there.
Sure was a good time to meet with them. Times are tough for them,
and so it was neat to sit with them (mostly looking at pictures!)
and just be able to hang.

Drove back to Idaho, leaving at 10:00 am. The plan was to get to
the office before everyone left and pile some desks in the truck
before heading home the next day. With ham sandwiches and cookies
for the trip, I headed out in good supply.
Once back in CDA (Coeur d'Alene, that is,) we had time to load
the truck. With the canopy on the truck, we had about 1" clearance
after all the desks were in (they are unassembled, so they are flat
boxes, 12 boxes in total.) Plus a couple computers and monitors
to boot. I had to put the bike up front with me- I was able to see
my passenger mirror, but it was close to being covered up too.

Headed back to Olds today. Spent a couple hours in the office talking
w/ folks before leaving. Not feeling the best, but looking forward
to getting on the road. The border crossing was uneventful—the
kind we all like—unless you need a good story later on.
Driving through Crowsnet Pass, the trip, too, was uneventful. Pulled
in at home at about 8:00 pm.
I found out once I got home, that The Lamb book arrived after I
left!

Finally back in the office - after a week in Idaho / Washington.
Not feeling the best but that's life in the fast lane.
The Lamb finally arrived—well 4 copies—the rest will
arrive at the end of November.

Getting things done. Like a test of the Prologue, and possibly
starting a Power Point presentation of The Making of The Lamb. We'll
see - looks like I have some free time before we get the video deck.
There's the packaging that needs to be put together as well - for
the video.
Trying a FlashPaper - of the video progress sheet. You should already
have a FlashPlayer on your system, if not you might have to load
that. I like it better than PDF - pretty neat.
Mailed out an update email.

Worked on learing Flash MX today. Here's a tutorial I put together:
It's pretty in depth - there's an awful lot that you can do with
this program. I wanted to learn the basics - but to actually program
this the way that we need to, will take quite an undertaking. It
might even require an undertaker once it's completed. We are looking
to using Flash for presenting The Video on the web.

A missionary couple from CBM came and spoke today. I wasn't too
impressed with her message, but that's me for ya!
The evening was full for the annual Thank Offering Supper. I ran
sound as well as had to give a quick update. It was the first time
I said in public that the video was 'almost done.' Won't be long.

Not feeling the best still - just lazy I guess. And since I'm writing
this on the next day, I can't remember what happened. So there you
have it.

Was able to get a computer configured for the accounting downstairs-
Quickbooks and Canada Post software installed, as well as transfer
all the data and Outlook files as well.
Also - Finished the corrections for the Closed Captioning for the
video. Sure is good to get a couple things done in one day! All
that is left is to put some sort of introduction together. This
is still up in the air. The video deck is delayed probably another
couple weeks yet. I would have been concerned for this delay in
the past, but I've learned that God has His timing—it's not
that we don't want to get this finished and out, but it is comforting
to know that God IS in control. For me it's actually been like a
rest almost - in one sense - because the pressure is lifted for
a little.
Some projects to work on in the next few days: Electrical at John's
garage, put together a PowerPoint presentation to show at the church
for the dedication of The Lamb when it comes in, as well as design
the packaging for the DVD set - the DVD's themselves and the cover
art work.
For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify
God in your body.
1 Corinthians 6:20

I helped John finish off the electric in his garage.
A good while ago, I put in a sub-panel out there for him, and today
we ran all the lines. Got most of the plywood up on the one wall.
Once that was finished, I came to the office to print
the labels for the next Gleanings.
And then headed up to Wetaskiwin as well, arriving at
12:20 am.

The morning found us (another John and I) installing a corner shower
unit. And then George came. He and his family. I knew I should have
taken a picture of them all! We basically hung around and told stories
all afternoon.
George and his family went to bed at around 9:00, John and Mary
Ann and I stayed up till 12:30 disccussing important things.

Drove back to Olds in the morning, arriving at noon.
Then drove to Calgary with Roger - to teach him the ropes of getting
the Gleanings in the mail. That was mailed today. Between that and
just getting back in the office pretty well took up the rest of
the day.
After supper went down to church to look at the new sound board.
It was damaged in shipping- and am not sure who's to blame for that.
It's a pretty expensive board, so sure hope we can figure this out
in a timely manner.
Came home and watched a movie - The Day After Tomorrow. It was
interesting - pretty much the whole movie was animation. I think
it's interesting that Hollywood is prodicing videos that talk about
things that are going to be one day.

Drove to Didsbury Waymore Wreckers to talk to him about a cab for
the truck. Sure would be nice to be able to put a 3rd door on the
side, where the damage is (from when I bought it.) It's either cut
a door off and put it on my truck, or replace the whole cab. But
we'll see.

My frist choir practice - no, I'm not singing this time, but running the sound.
Thursday, November 18, 2004
Went to the doc today. I've been rather fatigued lately so I thought it would be a good thing to do. He didn't say much, except that he needed some blood work done. CBC, FER, B12, GLUF, NA, K, CL, LDL, TSH - I think is all - about $400 worth. Then I get to see him again next Tuesday.
Also ordered the speakers / amps for the Choir Fest- for November 28.
Tuesday, November 23, 2004
Saw the doc againg today to get the results - everything's plum
normal. I guess that's good-

Interesting day today. Miles called up and asked if I could help
him corral some buffalo. Apparently 9 buffalo got loose from a neighbor's
field, and were running loose. Miles was concerned that they would
wreck his fences and then all his cows would get out.
Buffalo are not one to be messed with, so we corralled them with
our trucks! I've never done this before, and it was an interesting
time. Roger came with for the ride.

Well, the farmer came to get his buffalo. They pulled a trailer
in, and managed to get 3 on board before the rest bolted, taking
down fences and gates that were in the way.
He was ready for them to be put down at this point. But towards
the afternoon, they finally went home and all is well.
But the farmer did say that we could have one- so we started making
plans to take it down here in the next day or two.
